Ok im changing my fuel filter right..so i releive pressure and all and all is good..i noticed that the old one is rusted to **** under the car! so i take off the white clips no problem and loosen the clamp..soon as i loosen the clamp fuel comes out....so my old filter was rusted to the mount!!!!!!!!!! surprised no fuel leaked before.....

heres my problem I cannot get the two lines off the filter!!!! they will not budge..i heard theres a tool or something but i cant drive to the auto parts store now...do i just use brute force and keep trying to pull them off!?!?!??!?!

If I recall, the filter is made of aluminum; will not produce sparks. Just keep the heat down (read: no power tools).

ok well my buddy came over and we got it! I think this was the original filter!!!! there was a huge hole in the side of it I think it was rust welded to the filter mount which is why it didnt leak..and the old filter had shorter fuel line stems and these white pieces which is why they wouldnt come off...we almost broke the fuel line connectors but we managed to pry them off....on the new filter the stems are much longer and did not need that white plastic gaket piece.drove it around for a bit ad no leaks or anything! ill post a pic of the hole and plastic pieces in case anyone ever runs into this problem!
