Neon rear brake light

The neon brake light has stopped working on my Mark. Is there anything I should check or do I just replace it? Are there any suggestions where to purchase one other than the dealer?

They show up on auction sights from time to time. The ballast usually goes, if you can find one from a junk yard, you can try to replace that.

check www.car-part.com. I found a ballast through there for $100, they had plenty of lights listed as well.

Hey jack, I had the same issues, and for over 3 months, I thought mine was broken, turns out the Ground was barely hanging.. I tightened it up, works just fine, even with some water in it (working on that part right now)
