I replaced the air compressor with a new one from Arnotts, and I set the car down on the ground, but the air compressor won't lift the car, it is slammed to the ground. What did I do wrong?

You may have to just turn to key to "ON" a few times...takes a lot of air to fill the bags and the compressor will time out. Just turn key to "ON".... wait till it gives you the warning....turn off and count to 5, turn on....as many times as it takes....maybe 2-3-4 times. Should then be full.

I checked the lines, and I let the compressor run without the engine running till it cycled off. I soaped the air lines, no leaks, but I felt air blowing by back at the connection from the compressor to the dryer. I will take it apart tomorrow night and see if the o-ring is bad.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help.

no, not yet. I will work on it again tonight, this damn day job keeps getting in the way of my life.

I have the inner fender off, the air box removed and the leak is where the compressor attaches to the dryer. Now I need to remove the air lines from the dryer, the last time I cut them off at the o-rings at the dryer, but I don't think there is enough extra length to do that again. How do you remove the air lines without cutting them?

Push in on the orange collet while pulling firmly straight out on the airline. You may need to use a tool to push in on the collet but do not use a tool on the airline.

When you replace the lines, make sure they go all the way in.

I e-mailed Arnott's and they are sending out a new dryer with gasket free of charge. Not sure if I screwed up the dryer and lost the gasket, but they were great to work with. Looking forward to receiving the new parts and getting it on the road again. I will post again when I have it together again.
