Well hello all, I'm new to this site . And iv owned alot of Lincolns but I just picked up a 1998 collector edition mark viii and I was wonder what you all thought about the price I paid . Has 62000 miles heated seats , home link, cargo net , cd changer, ex. I paid 5500 good deal or no? Thanks

Considering the mileage and assuming the CE is in good condition and has been cared for, you got a respectable deal. ;)
 
if in excellent condition that is a fair price, did you get the sliver ingots with it?
 
My opinion is it was a fair deal as long as the problem areas are in good shape. The head light clarity, divers seat leather good, wheel chrome not peeling, cup holder not broken. Was it a southern car?

It was a southern car! Was well cared for the old man who had it passed on and left to his kids! Interior looks brand new it's all stock - the tinted windows . No silver , wrote letter to his kids to see if they have or found them. Going to wash and wax soon then post pix it is the red color it's car #795 heated seats, sun roof,cd changer, all in all I give it 8.5 out of 10
 
O ya the driver seat is perfect , cup holder not broken , rims have no chrome chipping . And brand new w rated tires, new belt, trans flush , alignment . All done may of this year. Pix soon!
 
Don't use the cup holder. It is a delicate little flower that will break just by looking at it the wrong way.
 
heh. pish-posh. I use the (un-broken half of my) cup holder all the time. :D

The passenger can hold her own drink.. :)

It sounds like you got one heck of a nice car. Have you planned your first road trip yet? few cars eat up the miles like the Mark VIII
