i think the whole idea sucks, it already sounds like a total flop to me, no firebird and no david hasselhoff, that sounds as good as the dukes of hazzard movie, that sucked too. some things are better left alone and original.
 
Are you kidding me? Did you miss Jessica simpson?

(The movie itself wasn't great) but they did have the General!!
 
its takes more then a blond ditz to make me like something, i dont like anything thats not original, sequels, prequels, they suck if the original concept isnt behind them, like cast members, cars, whatever, that would be like back to the future 4 coming out with a time traveling ford focus, it just wouldnt work, its just my opinion, but to take something old and classic and trying 20+ years later to come out with another version i hate it, i hate the whole idea. like i said some things are better left alone. the problem is hollywood is running out of ideas, all these movies they keep making are all the same thing over and over with different people, there is no more creativity left, everything is just a remake or a copy. time to think up some new material, something original.

Hollywood IS indeed running out of ideas but then again they have been out of ideas for a long long time. I believe every movie/show shares 1 of only a dozen or so basic actual plots out there. While remaking everything there is to remake can be looked upon as cheating or discrediting the original, it's still kinda fun to watch. I used to be a Dukes fan but I dont think I can actually sit down and watch an old Dukes episode now, I've tried watching reruns on TNN and they come off as dumb now. I did however enjoy the movie. Go figure. I think the Knight Rider movie will be more of the same. I was a fan of the original but cant get through one of the older episodes because it seems do damn gay now. At least the remakes interject some newer humor and slang to the old characters.
