Hello everyone!

Guess i'll tell ya a little about myself since im new to the board. I'm 22 years old and from South Jersey. I have a 1993 Mark VIII and a 1993 F350 Crew Cab Longbed 4x4. I use to have a 90 Mark VII (se clone) that i put a tremec 5spd in plus a laundry list of other mods, but i parted it out to get a Mark VIII..and everyday i get in my VIII i'm so very glad i did. The VIII is pretty much stock for the moment beside the blowmasters (previous owner)..since i've gotten the car i've done some of the basics (i cant leave anything alone for long) so i've removed the air silencer, opened up the air box, capped off the intake tube, oil change with 5w30 mobil 1/motorcraft filter, new fuel filter, new copper autolite plugs, threw in some subs and fixed quite a few little things inside and out and its an entirely different car since when i picked it up. Next on the list is a hefty trans cooler, posi rear, get rid of the blowmasters, flush and refill with mercon v along with the jmod, which will all help on seeing where i want to go with the car after that...

Anyway, I figured i'd swing by and introduce myself to say hello and actually i've got a question. Is this board affiliated with MarkVIII.org at all or are they two entirely different websites? Just looks like the tech pages are similar..so i'm curious. If they are different, are there a certain group that stick over here or vice versa, or is everyone pretty much at both? I'm a member at a few other lincoln/ford sites and was just curious.

Take care everyone. :)

Welcome to the forum, this is the original LOD, the details of the past are not important.

Didnt think i'd be stepping on any toes asking that question. So being that this is the original LOD...i assume that they are two different websites. So i guess some guys are here, some are there, and some are on both, is that right?

Yep and welcome! Not stepping on toes, Steve's from Jersey so he has no tact. :p

Ever seen a gold Mark VIII with a cobra "r" hood and a bunch of other crap done to it?

I'm down by atco raceway.

No, i have not a gold mark, that would stand out. I have not been down atco in a long time. I go to e-town most of the time.

I typed to fast, i meant to say, no i have not seen a gold mark viii, it would have stood out and i would remember it.
That show does not have a class for Lincolns. I mean they have them for Panteras, etc... but not Lincoln. That has always been BS.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Yes, you definitely would of rememberd his car if you have seen it. Ford nats- I would of just been going to check it out and meet up with some people i know, however knowing my luck i'll probably have to work because it seems my job likes me working every weekend.

Welcome Luxobarge!

I don't live in New Jersey, but I'll be visiting my dad in Montegue, in a couple of days.:)

Yes, sorry, I spelled Montague wrong.

New Jersey sure is beautiful this time of year.
