Noddy Mod - Chrome Tape (Cross posted)

I did the Noddy Mod Marcus came up with to repair pitted and deteriorated chrome on the bumpers.

The pictures don't really do it justice, but the repair is top notch. Some of the best money I have spent on the car. Thanks again, Marcus, for the idea and supplying the materials!

Took me about an hour to do the front and rear bumpers. I used paint prep to clean the existing chrome before applying the tape.

Glad it worked out for you like this!!!
Now I am hoping to get the next shipment of it in, because there is a bunch of people still waiting...you were one of the lucky ones who were in the first order...LOL!

One thing I found out about the stuff tho since I did it...it is pretty tuff, and handles all kinds of things like sun, scrubbing and so on, but you know what? It HATES wheel cleaner!!! I got some spray on there by accident, and the chrome turns brown in seconds! So watch out when cleaning those rims!

Marcus! You continue to be the pioneer! I will avoid wheel cleaner like the plague.

To those of you waiting, the install is EASY! The only key is to clean the surface first... I picked up some paint prep at pep boys which you can get there, or napa, or any auto parts or paint store (I've even seen it at Home Depot) or you can just use rubbing alcohol like the package suggests.

The other Key is to make sure you have no surface contaminants. I took a file and smoothed out some rough spots I had.
