Official Sign-up for Chicago 2K9 Saturday Party Aug 29

Was a great time! I'm still so tired. And achy. And maybe even drunk?

Thanks to everyone who made it out, I really had a lot of fun and was so glad to get to see you and your cars. I can't believe you guys blew up my new fire pit though. ;)

Ok, so here is a link to the raw Chicago 2K9 photos... :D

If you can't tell what is going on, or what the pics are of, it's only because "bad decisions make for good stories"... :D

These are all the pics "The Kid" took, I'll post mine when I'm back in Mass...

Enjoy! :D -J

Nice, you do know that trying to wash a black car in the sun is a futile effort; also you are not supposed to go over the foul line. Looks like it was a good time.

Had a great time. Thanks for hosting the party Sharon and Mike, it was alot of fun.
Sorry to hear about the fire pit. I had a feeling it would not end good when the stack of wood burning on it was twice the size of the pit. :D

Good talking to everyone, Bill, Leadfoot, BadSax, Burbank, Mark.....look forward to the next one.

Boy the way Glen Miller played
Songs that made the hit parade.
Guys like us we had it made,
Those were the days.

And you knew who you were then,
Girls were girls and men were men,
Mister we could use a man
Like Herbert Hoover again.

Didn't need no welfare state,
Everybody pulled his weight.
Gee our old LaSalle ran great.
Those were the days.

:D

It was a great time!

It was great seeing everyone and meeting new friends (I hope:))

What a great place for a meet! Sharon and Mike know how to throw a party.:) Great food, beer, cars and people.

That fire pit looked fine to me, the lawn received a good de-thatching I think though.:D

I just now made it home. Sunday on the way home, I went to my brother's campground for some more camping and boating. After that we drove to his house yesterday evening, and I drove to work this morning from his place in Lansing. Altogether, I put over 800 miles on the CE.:big-grin:

I'll post my photos tomorrow, I have to eat, go to bed, and get up at 5 again tomorrow.

Bill knows how to stretch a weekend!! Nicely done! I haven't done both camping and boating (canoeing) in over a decade. Once I'm "Marked" again, I'll make it up there as well. :)

Next time we should consider full protective gear and a controlled environment like NASA uses for their solid rocket booster tests. Then again it wouldn't have been nearly as hilarious. Who knew a bottle of Bud Light packed so much punch!

Great to see all of you who made it and sorry the rest of you bastards didn't show. :D

And thanks to Trixie and Beerdog for a great time as always.
