im hoping this isnt as big as i think. i have recently replaced the dryer & compressor to my air ride system on my 98 LSC..everything is fine but when i park on uneven ground, like dips and bumps or ice under tire in front of car which would create car to let say lean more up on one side..the car just drops and slams down in the rear sitting on my new tires-i really havent had this problem b4.or now if car sits too long for days lets say in garage it would do same thing and floor is even there. no bumps or dips i dont know where the sensor adjuster switch is..would i need to do anything like adust hieght sensor..or do i have a leak in the lines somewheres.?

and can this be an easy fix at home -mean save money:confused:
other than this can runs great and a couple of fluid leak are also being taken care of at the same time.

i have many plans for may event!!!

I was able to find my leak by letting the car pump up, turning it off, and listening for a leak while bouncing the car up an down. As I bounced the car, a leak in the front left strut would hiss everytime the car bounced.

Presuming all you replaced was the compressor and dryer, I would bet one of the 4 lines on the dryer is not seated properly. They can be a royal PITA at times. The lines must be clean and cut square on the ends and inserted all the way to seal properly on the "o" ring base. The 'collet' holds it in position. If the line slips the least amount back through the collet, it will leak. This will cause the suspension to lower when it fact it is trying to raise.

Ok, I'm gonna go in a totally different direction here...

I'm gonna say there is nothing wrong with your car...

there is a spot in my parents driveway that has caused all of 5 different MK8s to drop the back to the ground when parked there.

It's always the back passenger side wheel (the one with no sensor)... so I assume that for whatever reason, the car gets confused about it's relationship to um... the ground... and just vents that one bag completely...

As you know I have one of them spots in my driveway as well in front of the garage with the crazy 2 way grade.

But the OP said she did not have that problem before and it slams on level ground as well. :(

let the car air up to normal, then pull all 4 lines out of the compressor and see what happens when it sits, if the car falls again, you have a leak in one of the air bladders, even if the lines arent seated into the compressor correctly, the air cannot leak out of the system unless a solenoid on one of the bags isnt closing completely, or one of the bladders has a leak. you can pump a mark VIII all the way up, cut all the lines out of the car, rip the compresor out, and shut the air ride switch off and as long as all 4 solenoids are in perfect working order on the bags, and as long as the bags do not have any cracks or leaks in them, a mark could sit that way for months and never drop an inch. i have a 97 lsc at my shop thats been parked outside for 3 months with no motor or trans in it, no wiring under the hood, you cant turn anything on in the car there is no battery or harness, and the air ride hasnt moved at all the whole time its been sitting there, still high and dry off the ground!
