Wanted to do some work on my paint, Figured I would do the whole thing. I am going to pick up a somewhat inexpensive buffer? any suggestions?

Also, what cutting compound should I use for some pretty deep scratches and then the whole paint? The bumper is flaking and I am pretty sure I cant blend that since it looks like a coating, but can I do anything to stop it ? Until I can get some body work done...

i use cleen cut, its made by 3M i believe, you can get it at any autobody paint supply store. anytime i paint a car, i wet sand it and use this to finish off the clear, or you can use it juts simply detailing a car, cut it down with cleen cut and then use anything you want over it.
