this happened saturday morning. i went to roll down the window and it would not roll down, i know i can wire the motor straight to the battery to see if it is the motor, we did this to my moms 89 f150 window motor, but does anyone else now if it might be something else and how much one of those motors cost,
thanks

RE: PASS. WINDOW PROBLEM

Does the other window work?
Do the door locks work?
Does the switch feel and sound OK?

If the answer to all 3 is yes, try pounding on the bottom of the door while pushing the down button. If the window rolls down, its probably the motor. If it doesn't, suspect the switch (it's cheaper).

RE: PASS. WINDOW PROBLEM

check to see if it did what mine did.. the harness came unplugged somehow from the motor.. DOH!

RE: PASS. WINDOW PROBLEM

window problem fixed, every chance i got i would push the button for the window and after 5 long day i pressed it this morning before leaving to work it rolled down and now i dont have to worry bout going and getting it work on

RE: PASS. WINDOW PROBLEM

Yes, you do have to worry. I'd be willing to bet money that soon you'll have it down and it won't roll back up. What you had was a warning, your car is being good to you.:) You may want to find out what caused the malfunction and be prepared to fix it.

A few years ago the motor for the drivers window on my wife's 95 Caddy did that a couple of times, then it got stuck in the down position at the worst possible time, during heavy rain on the freeway. Had to replace the motor. :)
