possible performacono hybrid?

hey folks, first time poster here, but I've been watching the boards for some while, and have seen the performance mods you guys have done, and I'm very impressed, though a little upset upon learning of Toyota's new 280 horse V6 (pride's been damaged a little, so now I need to know I can waste it!) }(

Anyway, I'd like to have all those extra horses, but it's going to have to be practical to maintain as a daily driver, until I can give it the proper treatment (primarily racing and shows) after getting a second car. Any help in finding a way to do this would be most appreciated, as well as good labor resources in the "not so great anymore" state of Maine.

For my daily driver, I started with a tranny cooler, then got a true dual exhaust. I will be getting 3.73 gears and just purchased a shift kit (Steve told me to set it at 3 for daily driving). The tint, while not performance, is nice to have, too, keeps the car cooler in the summer.

Welcome! :D

Get the typical service work done first. Ditto on the tranny cooler. Chip, exhaust and gears are the major differences you will see with performance mods on a daily driver.

Have a look around, especially the tech pages, and ask a lot of questions. ;) We're here to help!

Yeah, a chip. But for me, I'm waiting to install the gears and then I want to get the car dyno tuned.
