rattle in exhaust

I recently found a rattle in the exhaust on my 93 mark 120,000 miles.I thought it was the tq conv but after a trip to the tranny shop they said it was in the exhaust (somewhere) but couldn't tell me where. The rattle happens while revving the motor @ 2100 RPM and while engine is coming down after revving up to about 3500-4000.Also running like crap feels like missing about 50-75 hp.The car also does not like pull very hard past 4000 while driving at WOT.Haven't ever had this problem before and this is my 3rd mark any ideas would be appreciated. sorrry the car has 4.10's coldair and straight pipes for now mufflers just came in but have been running it that way for 10,000 miles

i posted a thread in exhaust also concerning the same problem. My 93 mark recently lost a bunch of power it went from killin a 96 GT to barely keepin up with it(not good). These are my TC's 176,177,337,524,543,586. The fuel pump did go out 6 mo ago and ran fine after. My biggest symtom is that it seems like the IMRC's arent opening or maybe 1 isn't? it doesn't like to rev above 4000 WOT kinda sucks alot, exhaust note is different.I replaced plugs &wires cause it was missing that fixed the miss but not the major prob.Don't know what is going on

Sounds like clogged converters. Get rid of them with headers or gut them. If you need cats, you can get high flow cats that will pipe right in either way.

It's easy to check the IMRCs. Unplug the solenoid connector and drive around and see if you notice a difference.

As I posted in the exhaust section, it sounds like clogged converters.

Thanks prob gonna do exhaust this weekend hpoefully that'll fix it.It just sucks that it wont even break the tires loose going into 2nd on wet pavement

Remember that one cat is integral with the exhaust manifold.

I think i've found a way around the driver's side, after laying under it for a couple of hours. There might be enuogh material to weld to all i need is 1/4 inch or so just gotta get it off the car and cut it up.
