ive got two 95's.
both around 250k....
went on about a 50 mile trip today , and at the 1/2 way point the rear end began grinding and stinking up a storm.
about 1k miles ago , i had the airbags converted to coils , and a u joint replaced. (not at all happy that the rear end blew up now.)
i ramped it home , and , havent gotten into it yet.... i know its the chuck (goes forward, just grinds in reverse, wont roll in n) (plus the cover was smokin' and it stunk of gear lube)....
my brakes feel really good , and the antilock still works.....
questions , what chuck will fit? (crown vic , marquis)
should i change the chuck at the pinion, buy new gears/bearings, or swap0 the whole diff (i dont think i wanna mess with those working antilock brakes)
im also not too crazy about 'killing' a usable parts car over a 100.00 part.
should look at a junk yard for a chuck , or look into an aftermarket performance model?
