Some of the buttons in the arm rest of the driver's door do not work. I suspect the contact are dirty, but can not figure out how to remove either the door panel or the control panel to clean these contacts. Can anyone give me any advice or ideas on how to go about this work, other than taking it to a dealer? The problem seems to be in the remote mirror control and all of the seat controls, except for the master control for the seat.

I have tried botj Haynes and Chilton repair manual, but neither refer to the 94 model.

Thanks for help or advice anyone can give.

RE: Removal of driver's side door panel, 1994 Lincoln TC

Hi Bill ... I had to do a panel removal to change the keypad in my 92 TC ...you have a screw on the inside door edge (above the VIN sticker) and one on the right side recessed into the upper padding. There's also 2 screws behind the door pull strap end covers and one behind the inside door handle itself. There are 4 christmas tree (plastic anchors along the bottom that you need to pry out CAREFULLY!

Okay, to the switches.... all you need is a small flathead screwdriver to CAREFULLY lift off the switches from the connectors. I neede to do a remote mirror switch and it took all of 30 seconds to pop the old one off and CAREFULLY press the other one back in place. Just take your time. Good luck! ;)
