RE: Shelby Expedition
[div class="dcquote"] Don't ever tell me I don't know what you've been through or anything like that. Unlike most kids I do have to work for what I have. Very little is just handed down to me.

xo xo xo xo xo xo RANT TIME!(you started it)
Jayello, you seem to be the only one who misunderstands what others have written. This angers me. it has happened on more than one occasion where someone reads simple words, and due to attitude, not aptitude, they think someone is picking a fight.
"you have no idea what I have been through"
was another way of saying, "you have no idea how confused my brain is right now since I had to figure out on my own how to time a 4 cam motor's camshafts since I couldnt find the info I needed on a Saturday night at 8:00pm". Thats what I had "been through".
If you go looking for a fight, you can find one. But if you take words for their literal sense, you will understand them. YOU have no idea what I have been through. Literally. Do you? Do you know what kind of day I had when I wrote "RT/10" instead of GTS? I dont think so.
I also am pretty darn sure you dont know who I am, and where my money comes from. I am DEFINATELY positive you werent referring to me as a KID who has had a single thing handed to him. I hope not. Because you couldnt be farther from the truth.
If you spend any time on the internet, at different mark VIII discussion boards(yes, there are other markVIII message boards out there), you would probably realize that I spend most of my time helping others who cannot do for themselves. I volunteer my time, accept no money for my time, and efforts, and receive the greatest satisfaction by making other people happy. I have even been known to spend MY money, helping get their car fixed. Go ahead...ask around. You will find that I am one of the most giving people in my mark VIII community. in fact, I have had a few people from out of state want to drive 1300+ miles to let me help them fix their car. Not based on my ability, but on the fact that in the long run, it would save them money. One very good friend of mine, Sgt. Chad Anderson, of the US Marine Corps, drove for 11 hours, from 29 palms, Ca.-aka-"stumps" for me to do a JMOD to his 97 LSC, then drove back the next day. Ask him how much money I charged him? username "chadly_187".
So, JAYELLO, dont YOU assume for ONE SECOND that you KNOW what I have been through, who I am, or what I do.
and finally, what does your airplane have to do with my mistakenly calling Joe's new toy a RT/10, and not a GTS???
nothing. So, before you go misinterpretting ANYTHING else I have written, I will write this as clear as I can, since I am sure this thread will be locked soon.(all because of some folks who clearly cannot comprehend the words that are written infront of their face-that comes from attitude, not aptitude)
The original thread was about a high-dollar SUV that raves about some horsepower numbers, and mentioned nothing about handling.
My response(which some how fumed many corvette owners) was simply:
Why would someone want to buy a Ford exploder for over $110k, when they could have a Porsche cayenne turbo for less? And the fact that a Porsche cayenne is supposed to have enough handling(for a big truck) to stay competitve with a C5 corvette(used only as an example, since it is a vehicle that people can easily recognize, and relate to). had the Porsche been compared to a Aston Martin Vanquish, that comparison would have yeilded no comprehension, since most of the readers of that article dont even know what tha A.M. Vanquish looks like. it was not meant to degrade any corvette's, but merely compliment the performance, and handling of a german-built SUV. No where did it say that the Corvette handles like a truck. it simply showed that on one occaision, a corvette turned in slower lap times than the SUV. Of course it wasnt a Z-O6, or a highly modified vette. We all know that. But then again, if the Porsche couldnt have held its own against the vette, then why would the author use it as an example? he would have used a M3, or a Cobra....but, he didnt.
