Last night I changed out my front brakes, which look to have been recently done, actually, lots of pad left. I now have Brembo solid (blank) rotors with Hawk HPS pads. Last night I bedded them in, giggling when I saw them begin to smoke, because it looks cool... 
So this morning I'm driving a little hard, not exactly autocrossing, to try out the new front sway bar bushings. I pull into the Tim Robbins here and the brakes are smoking yet again. Any idea how long this should last? I'm guessing there is still some grease on the inside-facing surfaces of the rotors and maybe that is burning off, but the Hawks already are gripping very hard. We will see if they also live up to their claim of very low dusting...
