......straight back, turning the wheel to the left, come to a full stop and put the car in drive...uhhh drive uhhhm drive ....anyway, the damn shifter is just hanging there!!! God thing I was in drive and was able to drive to the mechanics! If you'll notice in the picture, the plunger (hardened steel like a swaybar) is bent which prevented the shifter shaft to move freely as it is supposed to hence snapping it in half. Sheeeeeeeeesh .... it's always something!

I was out getting parts today, and I showed the bent plunger and split shaft to the Manager of the NAPA store .. He told me in the 35 or more years he's been in the business, he's seen many split shafts but this is only the second bent plunger he's ever seen and that was on a Crown Victoria quite a few years back..... He just rolled his eyes... ::roll::
