Corvette Caught in Slippery Situation
Published : Friday, 04 Feb 2011, 1:23 PM CST

All the power in the world wasn't helping out the owner of this spiffy sports car Friday morning as he spun his tires in East Dallas.

I-30 near Buckner Boulevard was just one of thousands of icy spots that drivers discovered hidden under several inches of snow.

Watch and see how weather makes this guy lose his patience -- and fails to impress other drivers.

ha! summer tires and rwd in the snow... lol yea that is expected. Clearly a solid reason never to drive one in the snow.

Guy's a douchbag anyways. He was just flooring the crap out of the car even though it was already rolling. Then he was continuously steering it into the ditch!

*waves arms up and points at back of Corvette* "I'm a douchbag, I shouldn't have driven my favorite car in the snow!"

Am I the only person who has actually driven a Corvette in the snow? :p

I wouldn't want to drive one in deep snow (I doubt it would), but the car does just fine in an inch or two.

If that guy had just driven the car carefully once he got it moving, he probably would have been fine...

Remember Joe,that's Texas....Where even the sight of snow sends most of the people into a frenzy, and there was ice all over the place.

That is a fair point... probably there isn't too many chances to practice driving in the snow in TX... :D

From what I've seen most people who don't live where it snows alot just can't drive in it. I know I could drive that car in those conditions, It would be stupid, but I could do it.

I drove mine from the front garage to the back garage this week on a driveway covered with 2 inches of ice, does that count!?! (I did sand the **** out of the driveway before I brought it back there ;) )

Living in northern New Hampshire for 5 years taught me everything I need to know about driving in crappy weather...

It's also why I still carry a tow rope with me... :D
