That was a solo "bye run" Kirk. My mentor JP, advised that I do not red light, or break out (go faster than my posted time of 11.89). So, I went through the gears and stood on the brakes at the line just to be safe.

That depends on the event and track rules.

I advised Mike to play it safe since I was unsure what the rules of the event were. I would've certainly hated to see him DQ himself from the eliminations over a technicality on a bye run.

Yes...that would have sucked. 13 seconds at 75 MPH! See Max...my 13.7's at 95 MPH wasn't so bad!
