Step dad pissed me off today

Today, while I was visiting my mom, I was replacing my idle control. My step dad is a pro - chevy guy and hates fords with a passion. I usually dont respond, but he kept walking by saying "peice of s**t" and kept going.

So I waited until I was leaving, backed her out nice and easy out of the driveway, easily put her in to drive, and gunned it - burnt 2 nice patches all the way down the street without even hitting the brake (gotta love lsc's) and the whole street was covered in a huge smoke cloud. I could not stop laughing. I returned later and said, lets see that POS chevy do that. I bet those tire marks will be there for a long time.

Chevrolet stands for -

Cracked Head Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Every Time

haha, I've done this before... except I do it in front of my neighbors house. My dad hates them, so he told me if I keep up with the burnouts, he'll buy me my next set of tires. haha

Showed him! Getting even with the stepdad by annoying, possibly even endangering the neighbors (on a Sunday morning as they're all presumably trying to enjoy their day off) seems like a solid plan.

Not trying to stir the pot as a "newbie" to the forum, nor am I trying to be an old stick in the mud. I'm old school - this kind of thing just seems silly. I'd have probably taken your tag number down and phoned it in if it were in my neighborhood, but that's just the kind of person I am - I don't find rudeness amusing. Seems like the track is the best place to show off your aggression. :D

Maybe I'm overreacting -- maybe your mom and stepdad live on a secluded street and it impacted no one. Either way, stay safe. :)

And I would have turned around and asked you what you want to do about it.

I do live on a pretty secluded street.

Yeah, my street's pretty secluded, too. It's about half a mile long with all of six houses, no kids, and hardly ever any traffic. I wouldn't dare do something like this if there were a higher risk of hitting someone or something.

I think many of us have been guilty of spirited driving but hopefully we all respect the laws.

I have been guilty of leaving black marks on the asphalt at various times and places, but I respect my neighborhood and most residential areas. Our neighborhood is mostly rural(and few kids anymore), but still yet I drive through with respect. I even turn the stereo down.

I once had the '93 out for a test drive with a friend and returned to put it back in the garage. We were outside talking in the driveway when an elderly gentleman pulled up and rolled down his window to ask a question. He asked if anyone had seen a blue car like the white one(pointing at the '96 in the driveway).

Expecting a 'talking to', I said there was one just like it in the garage. He then asked to see it since he really liked the sound of the exhaust when I went by his house down the street! :D

I do burnouts at the signals on the freeway on-ramps. Get's me going, and provides a show for the folks behind me...especially ricer boys.
