ok have a few problems here

#1 after i put in my HID kit my right side head light is not near as bright as my left one is. im thinking its not getting all the current flow that it needs because when i turn them on the right one takes longer to warm up and it flickers as it is warming up. it seems like it never warms up all the way. another reason why i don't think its getting all the power it needs is because it burnt out that ballast box on the side and even with the new box im still getting the same light out put as i did with the old box. so what could cause me to loose power to that light? i cleaned off the grounds right there by the head lights and i assume those are the grounds for the head lights on both sides. any other ideas other then running separate relays to the head lights like i had to do on my old turbo coupe?

#2 my message center will randomly reset random functions and features in it self. for insistence most of the time i keep the instant MPG on the display. once and a while when i get in the car the average MPG will be pulled up when i know for a fact that the instant was up when i got out of the car. also the average MPG will randomly reset it self while im driving. when its working right most of the time its around the 19mpg mark (not sure if its right after the rear end gear change or not) some times i check it and its like 28 mpg like it would read if i were to reset it while cruising. one time i was coasting off the gas and i happened to check it and see it at 99.9 mpg just to show that it does this on its own.

now this might have some thing to do with one or both of my problems but i have a faulty head light switch. once and a while when i turn my lights on (i have the auto feature turned off) i have to slightly wiggle the switch to get the lights to come on but thats only once in a blue moon. the dome light part of the switch does not work at all. the only way i can get my dome lights to come on is to push the button by the light for it to work. the lights do not work when you open either door or with the switch on the dash.

any one here have any ideas here when the first few things started happening it did not bother me too bad but now more and more stuff is going wrong and i do not want my mark to get a short somewhere and go up in f-fflames.

I would put a voltmeter on that battery ASAP. Your alternator could be dead or dying. You should see greater than 13 volts on the battery with a running motor. The maximum voltage is 16.

These Lincolns do strange things when the alternator stops charging the battery.

Are the HID bulbs brand new also? Swap the bulbs between sides and see if the brightness issue follow the bulb.

yes the bulb kit is about a month or so old and the problem came about when i put them on. the stock lighting works fine its just one of the hid bulbs are not as bright as the other one. the batt is about a month old and the alt is about 5-6 months old but i will still check them out and relay the findings.

the batt checked ok and so did the alt its charging like it should but still the one dim light. and i guess my tag light is dim too according to the cop that pulled me over for it RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE tonight lol.

I'd replace that headlight switch. And while you're in there, check the plug and connections for melting or burning.

I've heard they can also cause a Car-Be-Que.
