I always do a lousy job of marketing this event to the broader Lincoln group, so here I am attempting to remedy that.

Early Bird Registration is now open for the Street Machine Nationals car show, July 18-20 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul. It's a nice show that a number of the local Mark VIII community have participated in for years, and worth checking out. Lodging for out-of-towners is always available at my place, so if you've been thinking about it, this may be the year.

Eric (Lvnmarks) has threatened to register both of his Marks for the event on the off-chance that an out-of-towner or non-Lincoln owner needs to use it to get in. I just as easily do that with my own fleet, if there's a need. One of the fun things with this show is that there's no age limitations on the vehicle.

The larger, "Back to the 50's" show is held each year at the same venue, which does have such limitations. (1964 and older,) so this "street machine" show gets all kinds of wild stuff. I'm sure a quick search of "street machine nationals" on youtube will get results.

I will be in the area for a music festival on Friday. I have always wanted to go to the street machine nationals.

I did register both my cars, unfortunately I wont be able to attend the first two days because of a work conflict. I will be there on the third day though.

I'm also hosting a get-together in October if anyone is interested in coming out.

This is still on my calendar and I hope I can go. We'll see how June goes. ;)

A meet in October wouldn't be out of the question either. Post some details when you can!

This is a go! (y)

Finish some prep today, then load up and head out tomorrow for a two day trek to St. Paul, MN.

Yeah!!! It'll be great to see you. Bonfire at our place after the show on Friday. That should give driller enough time to scope out the hotel patio to see if it's worth occupying Saturday night. :D

How many of the Driller clan are making the trip?

Sounds peaceful. I was wondering if you might have a grandkid that just *has* to see the Mall of America..

Safe travels! I hope it's an uneventful journey.

A quick shout-out to everyone who made it to this year's Street machine's show. We had great weather, and a great time. I'm already looking forward to next year.

Big thanks to Luke who keeps close tabs on the schedule, and coordinates parking. I really appreciate it!

Good to see everyone, wish I could have made it to the homecoming ,too.

As far as Saturday, October 11th, there's a smaller show that we go to in Cambridge MN, followed by a fire and pot luck at my house that evening. If y'all are interested I can set up a cruise for Friday night as well. I'll have Tixer make a thread, he's better at that then me.
