Terrible clunk in front Strutmasters Suck

As many of you know i did a spring conversion couple of years back. I went the cheapest way out with the strutmasters kit. I really did not think i would like it so i figured i could always upgrade later. For the first 10,000 miles or so i loved it. But it gradually degraded well 30,000 miles later i hated it. Ment to change it long ago but circumstances in life and winter kinda put it on hold. The Strutmasters kit was really not well made. The spring rate was way off and one of the struts locked up really resulting in an undrivable car. But thanks to all the useful thread mainly Kurts on his conversion really helped me make a much better choice. I got a set of Tokico Blues on E bay for a hundred bucks a piece. And an original set of springs from the local ford dealer along with strut mounts. These are for a 97 Thunderbird, i can't believe the difference in ride quality. I love them, i share this with you to give back to the community that has given so much to me.IMHO stay away from all ready made strut set ups. Even if the struts are well made the springs are usually not. Who knows in time these might degrade as well i will keep you posted.
Regards
Tony
