Jay,
Thanks for being our default host at WFC9 this year, and for setting up the great hotel (ok, even though my room rather sucked compared to everyone elses and there was a definite lack of cheese on the weekend). The restaurant you picked for us for Saturday night was screendoor fantastic and the extra happy hour drink cards certainly kept us all pretty happy. :9
Sax & Isaac - thanks for driving out so far to join us, for getting us into trouble, helping to keep us liquored up, and showing us some great views from the hotel.... It wouldn't have been the same without the two of you there.
Mark - Glad you were able to join us. Thanks for taking my table home, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get my suitcase out on Sunday night. Thanks also for not killing me even though I perhaps referred to you as "elderly." hee hee. Although really I don't think I said that - someone appears to be twisting what I say. Thanks for also making executive decisions when the rest of us were too lazy to do anything.
JP, thanks for bringing the tent, we would have suffered without it. Thanks for driving for us and giving us someone to cheer for. Thanks for bringing Mrs. Driller who was a total blast to hang out with and has some of the funniest stories I've ever heard.
And a special thanks to JP and Jay for not leaving me with my seat stuck all the way up and working with the Kid to find the problem.
I'm sure I'm forgetting things - time just went by so quickly and I had so much fun (so did the Kid). It was great to see Keith again, even though he didn't have his Mark with him, and Jason (Phreakness) even though his car wasn't there. Sorry you two weren't able to meet up with us Saturday night, we took a fun carriage ride to the restaurant we went to. Of course, we couldn't fit any more people in there, but you could have run alongside us.
And congrats again to Mark & JP for winning best Stock and Modified Mark VIII! And a big congrats to all of us for packing up in record time once we realized we were late for happy hour. }(
I truly had a wonderful time this year and I'm looking forward to doing it again next year (which someone, maybe Jason, said would be in Indy).
