VIII looking for 8s
I would just like to personally thank the people of this forum for providing me with the information, advice, parts, and friendships I have made here. The other day I received a fuel door button for my Mark VIII from J. He came through very quickly and had exactly what I needed in the right color too! The interesting part of it all too, is I only posted a shout in the box regarding the issue with intentions of putting up a post but my phone wouldn't upload the photo. His keen eye on the situation and paying attention to what was said there had him sending me a PM almost right away. M Darrah was another member providing me with a hard to find IAC tube for my intake swap.

The Mark VIII is a beautiful masterpiece but at the same time can be one tough cookie to find parts for. I appreciate the teamwork by all and even the creative inventions, such as those that DLF has wonderfully crafted, although I have yet to buy any parts from him. :D

I feel much more comfortable owning, modifying, and fixing my car with all of the help and information that all of you on this forum provide. I am a Mark VIII owner on the outside but am privileged to be with all of you guys on the inside when it gets down to the nitty gritty stuff. :lodrules:

Aww thanks Kirk and you're very welcome! You couldn't have said it better. Evryone here is like family and they have always been here for me and cared about my ventures. If you search around my posts, you'll see some of the adventures I've shared and how these guys have shared along and bonded. I can't wait to meet everyone! Bear's right though, everyone is here for you and I've seen that more "behind the scenes" now that I'm BoD. A lot goes into keeping this place what it is and without the crew we have here, the site would be lame, seriously. :)

We should have a "Success Stories" page!! ;)

Without the LOD my first 94 MK8 would have been a strange blip on what would be an even bigger list of GM cars...

With LOD... and 3 MK8s later, I'm now driving one of the MK8's I've always wanted...
10 points for super rare Midnight Metallic Grey... :D

This is the first forum site I have ever been privy to. I have always felt welcome by all members. :D

Cant wait to meet the members in person at Carlisle this year!

I agree. For as long as I've been coming here, my post count isn't very high, but i visit here several times a day in the hopes that i can learn something just in case.

I don't do a lot of my own work anymore, (an old dude) but when I need to visit my mechanic, I'm well prepared and also respected because he knows I'm well informed by the LOD.

I have to agree! I need to go to more social events, I only went to one for about 2 hours this past September. Hopefully when the WX gets better here I'll go to more.

Everyone has been great but I wouldn't even be in a Mark VIII if it weren't for Rob (where have you been??) and Jeremi/Mad1stGen. Right after I got the car from Jeremi I had an issue with my alternator and he IMMEDIATELY dropped what he was doing and came to help me out. Luckily I was close to home but still not at home, and he went the extra 2 miles to rescue me. He even followed me home to make sure I made it, then within I think one minute had the alternator out and advising me on where he was taking it to get it rebuilt. I was without my Mark for only 1 day and back on the road like nothing happened. That goes to show you the dedication and knowledge of not just Jeremi but pretty much everyone here on this site, plus their love for these cars!

I hope to learn much from being here and meeting up with you fine folks! Now, I would really LOVE to get the makeover to my Mark that Jeremi is doing to the White Lightning!
