thunderbird rear coils on mark?

i have heard of people putting the t-bird mounts and springs in the rear of the marks. i already have t-bird struts in the front and now i want to finish off the "coil system" so i can remove it from the car. there is a 93 and a 96 bird in the junk yard that i can rob parts from but what all do i need? im guessing i need the coils, lower rubbers and the top mount right? does the top mount bolt on or is it welded on to the "frame".

is there any thing i need to take with me besides standard hand tools? if they are welded can i break the welds with a hammer and a chizle? i have a welder here that i can weld them on my mark if i need to. i just need know what all i need to get while im there.

Hmmmm.....sounds like more of a pain than its worth. I have a set of lowered coil springs from AmericanAirSuspensions, brand new, if you're interested. Not sure if the T-Bird struts you have are lowered.

Let me see what I can find..........

It looks like both "mounts" are part of the rear sub frame....no luck on removing the mounts. I would check the yard, but don't get your hopes up. Also, for removal, AllData is suggesting a spring compressor.

The tops are part is welded to the frame, and the bottoms are part of the LCA. You're better off buying J's springs, if he has the mounts to go with it.

his springs are lowered so my car would be bull dogging (ridding cali). my car is low enough as it is my car drags some of the places i go on the weekends as it is.

how much would you want for just the mounts? is there a upper and a lower mount of is it just a upper? all the kits i have seen look like its just a upper mount and a spring unless the lower mounts just are not in the pic
