Tire shine

I've noticed that after a few applications on a new set of tires, my tire shine doesn't really shine as much. It's as if the tire gains some sort of tolerance to it?

I use black magic...works the best and doesn't collect a bunch of dust. I spray it on a spunge and work it into the tire vs. just spraying it on the tire where the dust will collect on it and take away the shine. The rubber of the tires will actually obsorbe the stuff.

I've used Black Magic tire gel and Meguiar's Endurance gel with a sponge applicator with great results.

Yeah I use black magic w the foam applicator. But after a few times of using it on new tires it just doesn't look nearly the same.

Which zaino?

Edit I see they have an actuall tire shine product. Im really more interested in figuring out why the black magic would suddenly stop working. I imagine other products, even zaino night. I know I used an eagle one tire shine for a while and the same.thing.happened on those tires. Maybe I just need.a new aoplicator?

I've had to use a good tire cleaner on my tires every once in a while. I think it's Mequires.

I use Stoners tire spray, but I wipe it off as soon as I put it on the tires, so mine aren't too shiney.

I don't use any of that ricer shine stuff, i use 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I've used Black Magic tire gel and Meguiar's Endurance gel with a sponge applicator with great results.

See that JP...calling us ricer's. The nerve!

Yeah I use black magic w the foam applicator.

Thats three for Black Magic! :p
On my Michelin HydroEdge, the shine is built into the sidewall..... just need to wash 'em.

Its three for Black Magic, but it doesn't work anymore for me. Ill try a new applicator next time I wash the car.
( It'll be shiny after I wash it )

Do you scrub your tires clean before applying it?

Ya

use wesleys bleach white and a hard bristle brush to clean the rubber first, this is what i do, then i blow dry them with compressed air, then i apply mequiars natural shine or sometimes its labeled matte shine with a foam applicator. i hate when tires look wet and gooey. i like the look like a brand new tire and thats what this stuff does.

Zaino tire shine is awesome, and gives you that brand new clean look. It works great on plastic under the hood too :)

I usually get Black Magic as a gift from a family member, and use it on occasion. I apply it and then wipe it off a little while later so it does not sling all over the place.
