tire size

What would you all recommend for daily driver tires? I want something that looks a little cooler than 225/60/16's. I would like to stick with 16" wheels. I would want something that will go well with directionals in the future. If I use a lower profile, then I will need to lower the car a little, I guess. (although my exhaust tips scrape the asphalt now when I back out of my steeply angled driveway!) Speaking of the directional wheels, I always see them discussed as chrome or "painted". I thought the "not chrome" directionals were alloy. What are they?

RE: tire size

I believe they are all aluminum, whether they are chrome or not. I'm not sure if the non-chrome ones are actually painted or not, but i think they at least have a clear coat of some kind on them.

As for tire size, if you want something a little sportier than 225/60's, i'd go with 245/50's. I'm going to be putting 245/50/16's on my car very soon. The profile is only slightly smaller than stock, it's only like 5% smaller.
