Tires that work in the rain

It's 20,000 miles on the Yokohamas and they no longer like the rain. They have become dangerous with 1/3 of their life left. I had the original Michelins, Goodrich and now the Yokohamas. None of these brands lasted and only the Yokohamas had any warranty (30,000 miles).

Has anybody used the Pirelli P6 Four Season (Mr Tire warranty is 60,000 miles!) or the Yokohama Avid V4S (Tire Rack warranty is 60,000 miles at $75 each!).

What yokohamas are you running? And how do you drive? For a lot of people, 20k out of a set of tires is pretty good. I dragged almost 30k out of my last set, but those got so bad that one was actually popped by a rock. All 4 were bald. And those were supposed to last 60k, although they didn't have a treadlife warranty.

What is the speed and load rating on the 60k mile tires you are looking at? I couldn't find any treadlife warranty on any tire v rated or up, the last time i was shopping. I didn't really look this time.

I'm in the office and can't remember what kind I have now. This tire was the only one I had seen up to this point with a treadlife warranty (30,000 miles).

Both of the sites I mentioned say that "H" tires are okay on the Mark, so I'm a little leery of what I have seen.

Since it sounds like just about all "V" rated tires don't last more than 20,000 miles, I'm starting to think that the least expensive brand name tire might be the way to go.

Really depends on how you drive. Some V rated tires come with long warranties (60k miles) i have not seen any Z rated tires with warranty. Now i'm running Z rated tires and going easy on them and after 20k miles they still have 70% left.
