Just giving a little update. This afternoon I earned my initial flight instructor ticket for Multi-engine planes. So far the list includes: Multi-Engine Commercial airplane land with instrument priveliges, Single Engine airplane land and CFI-MEI. Still to come: Instrument Instructor (ETA 2 days), Single Engine commercial Land (ETA 4 days), CFI Single (ETA 5-6 days), and turn 21 (ETA 5 days). Oh yeah, and I'm going to learn to fly a jet in the mean time. After I get done at this school, I'm planning on going down to Winter Haven, FL and getting my commercial Seaplane rating. After that, its back to NH for me, with a few stops to visit some friends and family down here in FL, then NH, finally.

Update on the Lincoln-
Still no pics.... (due to not having a PC...) But shes still doing OK. Turns out the Chick is going to let the insurance co. handle it, wuich means I have to fight wityh those chups now, but oh well, it will be right by the time I get done with it, and it will probably be better too!! Once I get home and get a real, legitimate job, I am going to recompile a stero system with a little visual added in the dash and trunkal area, some new flash and and tread on the feet and possibly a new rear-end/drive shaft. I mean, i might as well, right, since im redo-ing the exhaust... See, I practiacally have myself talked into it! Anyways, watch for more updates comming soon. Of course the first real one will be renewing my membership to the LOD!!
Hope everyone has a Happy Easter, think of me, ill be stuck in a level 3 sim for most of the day!

RE: UPDATES

Well, right now im up to about 275, and as of last week, I now have more time in a multi-engine plane than I do in a single!!

BTW- If anyone is interested in this, the company is spread accross the country and pretty widely available. The people are very friendly and the training is top notch.

Just a little word to the wise for anyone interested, they offer a Private Pilot Program in conjunction with the career pilot program (what im doing), but after flying with some of these guys, I would recomend getting your private pilot's license elsewhere and then coming here. The program here really doenst give you a real picture of general aviation, and I think that that is a HUGE part of being a pilot. Just my 2 cents. Feel free to e-mail me or PM me if you want to talk about it or anything!

RE: UPDATES

$35,000 and I just got my CFII yesterday afternoon. The provided housing and hotels and rental cars on X-C trips. I made it as far west as Dallas and as far north as Chicago. You pay all of the $$$ up front (or in 4 easy payments...) I logged over 150 Multi-Hours, and I'll get another 10 hours in a single, plus all of my ratings short of an ATP ticket in 3 months. Totally worth it. If you need extra training, they provide it. If you need to stay in the housing a little longer, no problem. And let me tell you, they are NICE appartments. All at no extra cost above the $35k.

Car- Drivers side headlight is on the outs... It glows like a dark purple. Whats wrong with it?? also in the turn signal under my drivers side mirror, only 3 of the 7 LED's are ligting up. Fixable??

Time to shed some money and buy a newer headlight. be better off buying one off ebay then buying just a bulb.

RE: UPDATES

congrats Kev, you passed me up in TT. I'm just around 250. The instrument rating comes this summer when I get time where i can start on it and stay with it.

Really need that, don't need to go sneaking by anymore than I have to. The cherokee 6 is at the paint shop. Tentativlly plannin on picking it up on the 23rd of this month. Then its either on up to Iowa to get an interior or to Cape to put radios in it. Depends who has the opening when it gets picked up from the paint shop.

RE: UPDATES

Nice!

Right now im looking at planes that I can park on my beach and convert to skis/wheels for the winter. Kinda looking at a C-206 or c-180/185 on striaght floats. I will probably just get an old J3 or Super Cub to start out with and work my way up. Trying to put and A&P ticket in the works too, so we'll see. I'll keep everyone updated, and if anyone needs float plane instruction, you know who to call!!
