WAY too loud! Mufflers?

I just had my ART headers installed. Now the Mark makes WAY too much noise. I have to tip-toe around and still attract too much attention. The sound is harsh and unpleasant. It's got to go! I've had an ART cat back system with x-pipe and Edelbrock RPM mufflers that sounded great but now I need to add a third muffler. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: The cats have been removed.

just that muffler i told you about before. you need a two in two out magnaflow muffler.

You might want to try a mangnaflow 2in2out muffler with an x built into it. That's what I have on mine, and although I don't have headers on yet, the exhaust sounds real nice and quiet. There is no drone whatsoever.

where do i buy such a muffler? I need to do the same thing when money permits. Right now my car is only a sleeper until i start it up. :)

i sell them for 130 shipped......

they are 130 retail.... and i am shure you can find some one selling them for like 2 dollars on the internet if you look hard enuf. i have sold two this week for marks though.

Wow, $130 through you OR $2 (your post) on the internet. Let me think about this. ART mufflers for $130 or $2 on the internet. Hummmmm.

I think I will take ART because he is the guy selling a real nice set of pipes that we all benefit from. Thanks Dan for you efforts. The post is just tongue-in-cheek so don't wig out on me.LOL. I just had to laugh when you made the comparison.

Its the loss of cats that makes it unbearable.Iv'e done long tubes with and without cats and the ones with cats sounded great and the ones without sound WAY too loud.

I am running the Kooks headers , and the cats ,and the "X" magnaflow in stainless ,and 2 stainless Magnaflows in the rear , the sound is very nice when you are taking the wife to a fancy restaurant , and exceptional when you get on it hard...The cats are small, oval, high flow turbo units...Check Trixie she has a set of mufflers that are adjustable with knobs on the side ...If they work they are pretty trick...

That is why red whore sounded like crap. Take the cats out, and the sound gets very raspy.

If your talking to me Moe , I have not been to the track with the car so no times to brag about .When I get a few more mods I will then make some time runs , with all these fast guys in here, I will need some pretty good times for bragging rights.

Joe, you were running LTs and want else at the chicago meet, because that sounded sweet. When you were doing the doughnuts, it sounded really nice.

i just sent Jack a new system in a all Stain Less Steel with the correct spacing for the long tubes. he shoudl have it to day. his car should sound nice with the new system on it with the new muffler. plus now it is all SS it will last for ever.
