so, recently my father in law picked up another mark VIII, its a black on black 97 lsc, mine is a black on black 97 lsc, and last week i sold my 93 gray on black and yesterday flew to north carolina to pick up a black on graphite 98 lsc for my wife. could you imagine driving by my house!! what is wrong with us? some details on the car i bought her, 98 lsc paint is in awesome shape i will have to run a buffer over it but its in great shape, interior is really nice one tiny split in the stitching on the driver seat, heated seats, 10 disc changer that works, moonroof, factory cell phone is even in it still, neon needs a ballast but the light is mint, one hid is out, and i need to slap tires on it. 209k miles the car runs and drives like a dream, ederly owned, passed away 6 months ago the car sat in their garage for 6 months, even after sitting that long it made a 610 mile trip yesterday no problem. i paid $1,350 for it. i'll post up progress pics as i tinker with it but its gotta wait a little bit i have to catch up on some bills and get other projects out of the way first. i need center caps too, i have 2 of them but we changed a few tires and 2 of them broke. what a driveway!

If you don't find the Marks yourself, Jamie ... they find you!

Looks like an LOD meet :D

i cant wait to get some time to do my " handy work " to this one for my wife. it doesnt need much, some cleaning up a few things here and there and a buff its a super nice car for the money i could have never gotten the same condition car for the money again thats for sure, deals like this dont come around often, that price is what we pay to part a junker one out!

You don't bring these cars to Carlisle... that's what's wrong with you... :p

Total Travel Estimate: 16 hours 40 minutes / 1027.87 miles

this is why, pretty tough to pull off when i have a wife and 2 kids and a full time job, plus running my own shop as well!! but dont feel bad, i cant even drive 1 mile to my local weekly cruise nights either.

whats with everyone and miles, you can take the odometer out of a mark i dont care what they say. the car is in amazing condition, thats the difference between ederly owned and kid owned, i dont need to use any of my parts except a dr seat track, i need a ballast for the neon and need to fix the steering column, i drove this car 610 miles with 6 month old gas in it and the car got up to 31.3 mpg on 95 south with the cruise at 78 mph! high miles? who cares lol i'd buy a mark with 400k on it if it was treated right. i dont understand why so many people jump all over a car with high miles like its some terd, to me, buying a used car goes so far beyond the odometer, who owned it, how was it treated and what was fixed is what i care about, i never cared about odometers in anything i ever bought, miles dont scare me one bit! i have gotten some very awesome cars in the past cheap with high miles and always made money selling them. see for yourself, and my wife is my witness i did not hit reset and snap a picture this was about 3 hours into our trip back to florida somewhere in south carolina all i did was take a pic of the message display and speedo, after this we got gas, and the best it made it back up to was 29.5 mpg the rest of the trip.

yup thats it all the above, that was 3 hours into my 12 hour trip if it was wrong i am not lying about it thats what the pictures if for and my wife was sitting right next to me i have no reason to lie it stayed around that for miles and miles until we stopped for gas, i reset it and got back on 95 south and the best i got back out of it was 29.6 i got that pic too but why post it its wrong anyway lol!

It could happen. The car was rated at what, 28mpg highway right? I get 30 doing about 65 or so. I went on a 1400 mile trip in the mark last year and only got 24mpg all highway, but I was doing 75 - 80mph and mountains.

Love that driveway! You're going to give Jeremi some serious competition! But of course, you need to go through like about 25 more to catch up to him!
