CLASSES

The Auto Show Spectacular is divided into four main categories and more than 70 judged classes.

The main categories of the show are Stock, Modified, Super Modified, and Special Interest. Each of the 70 judged classes will present trophies to the First, Second, and Third Places. In addition, awards will be given to Best of Show, Best Engine Compartment, Best Paint, and Best Interior. Please Note: Classes are subject to change at any time without notice.

The Lincoln Mark VIIIs will be grouped into 2 classes.

’89-’97 Thunderbird & Cougar
(’93-’98 Mark VIII)

STOCK CLASSES
Vehicles are required to have stock OEM body parts or reproduction parts that imitate the exact fit and look of the car for that year. Vehicles in these classes are also required to have the original frame, undercarriage, engine, and factory-produced drivetrain. This class will allow a total of four item changes or additions to the car. Any change from the stock OEM appearance—including even a different set of spark plug wires—will count as one item change. If there are more than four item changes, your car will be classified in the Modified section.

MODIFIED CLASSES
Vehicles in the Modified classes will have more than four changes to the stock OEM look and fit of the car. Vehicles in these classes are also required to have the original frame, undercarriage, and factory-produced drivetrain. Changes to any of the stock parts, components, or interior are allowed. Anything goes in the Modified classes as long as there are no engineered modifications to the body, drivetrain, or frame.

Auto-Show Technical Rules

1. Before a vehicle can receive its official entry number, it must pass through a technical inspection (classification).
2. Once the vehicle has been classified and entered, its class cannot be changed for the duration of the show without the concurrence of the WRE staff.
3. Any vehicle that does not have a Ford-authorized drivetrain will not be allowed to compete.
4. Trailered vehicles must be unloaded from the carrier and driven to the judging area.
5. All convertibles will be judged as closed. All tops must be up.
