Opening up the exhaust with ahy setup will make it run cooler. Less restriction, less heat.

What he said. When I took the cats of my Mustang the engine temp went down noticeably. All the heat is going out the tailpipes.

My question is on x pipes, when i had my magnaflows put in i had em cut off the 3rd resonater,and weld up a piece of straight pipe, I think that i want an x pipe there instead,how come all aftermarket x pipes are 150+ and start before the cats? Can't they just make a x piece that welds in right where the third res was? Help me out Geno,Dennis, anyone!!!!

Do a search which will reveal of plethora of Geno posts showing his wonderful x pipe or xx replacing the 3rd cat and resonator on all stock Mark VII exhaust systems, base or LSC.
