I have long tubes on my car and i'm planning on replacing my o2 sensors this weekend. Autozone lists two o2 sensors, one being a bosch universal type and the other being a bosch oe type. Which should i get? the universal type is 12 bucks cheaper. I'm going to have to cut the wire anyway in order to extend the length.

I got OEM, also I believe that the O2's are somehow matched/calibrated at the factory to your ECC. When I ordered mine I needed the calibration code.

there's a guy selling the ford 02's for like 50 or 60 for all 4. I remember unstoppable telling me about them. ORdered some for my friend. I always go with the ford sensors over after market stuff. I have less problems.

I replaced them this weekend. i got the universal style from autozone. Bosch is the manufacturer. Based on my short time working for Bosch, i believe these will be good, high quality parts. The nice thing about the universal ones is that they come with a real long wire and no connector. I was going to have to extend the wires anyway, so this made it easier. I just soldered the connectors on and had plenty of wire to work with.

yes but his installation was more work because he has a gen 1.

you should do a search, there has been lots of info posted on this before. then if you still have a question start a new thread and we'll be glad to help out.
