What's the secret to getting the intake tube to seal to the throttle body on a gen 1?

Hey all! I've got a 1996 Mark VIII. I know I have a vacuum leak at the throttle body because of the intake tube rubber gasket. You can hear a faint rushing sound inside the car. I probably have taken the intake tube off and on too many times and overtightened the bolt that secures the tube.

Once I got the tube to seal for a little while but the sound has reappeared!... it's driving me nuts!!! I have already bought a o ring type gasket off ebay that is advertised for all mark viii's. I'm using it in addition to the original gasket and I got a tight seal once but it didn't last...

What is the secret to a leak free seal on a gen 1 with this awkward design?

Does anyone have a nice rubber gasket they want to sell?

Thank you very much!
