Who won what awards?

RE: Who won what awards?

Well, i'm sure you know what leo took home. I took home a second place in the 96-98 modified class (out of four), steve beat me. Ken (lick) took home the prize in the highly modified class, Alexander took second out of two in the limited editions class (a red CE, whose owners name i cannot recall, took first), and that's all i remember off the top of my head. I took home a trophy for best license plate, even though i was second in the voting. I'm horrible with names, but the guy who came in first had the same license plate as me, but had already taken the highest mileage trophy so he couldn't get it.

RE: Who won what awards?

Dave has your trophy. He had to leave Saturday morning because he had a toothache.

I have the list of awards that the LOD gave out. I will post the list later.

RE: Who won what awards?

I won third for 97 - 98 stock Mark VIIIs... Competition was hard with Moose and all. I was just glad to get some recognition for all my hard work and am glad there were more then three cars in the class. Don’t want to win by default!

RE: Who won what awards?

I won the farthest distance TRAVELED award. There was some talk of naming the hard luck award after me.But I believe Badsax won it for putting up with John Boyle for the duration of the trip.LOL
"Lick"Ken won best paint, the glittery burgandy one won most unique, which also should have one to Ken.
Strapp won best overall MarkVIII,After whining like a girl he never wins anything.LOL
I believe Geno won most UNsupportive of the club for not showing up.
I dont remember the rest.

RE: Who won what awards?

I took home a hangover and the stripper with the knife scars and the "patch" on her butt.

RE: Who won what awards?

How many Mark VIII's were there?

Not sure, but I counted 29 on the showfield at one time. Plus we had a few members who came without their cars, and signed up about half a dozen new members.

On Friday I think we had about 29, I believe that is a new record for a Friday for Mark VIIIs. With all the rain on Saturday some people did not show, or return from Friday, but some others came so I think we had about the same number. Also I believe we had at least two non-Mark VIII and one Ford Taurus rental :)
