Some might tell you 255 would fit... But I think thats pushing it for a 7inch rim. So I went with 245's, and they are perfect.

same here, 245/55/16 Falkens in the rear...

I just thought that maybe when its time to get front tires, i could move the 245's to the front and get wider ones for the rear.

When I bought my '97, it had 245/50-16 Dunlop SP5000s on all four corners. I did not like the way it followed channels in the road. I was in Beaufort, SC where the roads had visable ruts in the asphault. The car was actually hard to drive on those roads as it would squirm from side to side.

After I replaced them with the stock size 225/60-16 Bridgestone Potenza RE730s, it drives much nicer. I like them so much that I bought a set of the newer replacement RE750s for my '98. I like them just as much.

BTW, I was looking for a set of 235/55-16s. But I could never find that size in any tire that I liked.
