Will be selling the 2014 MKS

With "LOD" Since 1997
Mom is the primary driver of the MKS and she is getting up there in age and not in the best health, after some arguing she agreed to give up driving.
She put a dent in the rear passenger side door, i will look at a PDR guy to pull the dent but won't be fixing the scuffed and scratches paint, also the lower molding cover came off.
The capacitive controls for the HVAC has a known issue of making the temp go up on it's own. Only rebuilt panels are available. Other than that it's good with ~36K miles. N/A V6, AWD, tech package and the large glass roof.

Not sure I want to or have the time to deal with the public for a private sale, so will look to Carvana, Carmax etc. An initial inquiry they were offering a fair price with the dent.

Well, tomorrow the MKS gets dropped off at Carvana / Adesa, lucky for me it's only 20 minutes from me, else they charge $390 to pick it up. Milage is 35.7K, that helped the value, otherwise I never got around to fixing the rear door dent/scratches. They offered $14K as described with the dent scratches so hopefully that is what they will cut the check for. Carfax etc was saying a trade-in value was $11.5k. I could have may held out for a private sale of $16k, but don't have time for that.

Mom has been getting rides from neighbors, she finally came around to know it was time to stop driving before something bad happens vs stop driving after it happens.

Glad you got it sold, and for a good price. I hope it all works out for you. There's definitely something to be said for not having to worry about the damage.

Wondering if they have a prep and body shop out in IN. Where I dropped it off close to where i live is a huge car auction place they they bought, Adesa. I guess they decided to fix it and retail it with the low miles.
