Worked a Special Detail today for the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation.....

J

OCCUPY LoD :)
Today I was asked to provide a protective service detail for approximately 20 Firetrucks that were scheduled to drive from Fire Station to Fire Station collecting checks that were being donated to the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. www.aarbf.org

Basically, in our group there was about 8 patrol cars and 2 motorcycles that would "leap frog" from intersection to intersection closing down the cross traffic so the Firetrucks could convoy without any delay. It was a blast.....flying down the road past the trucks to get to the next intersection and shut it down. We also had to jump on the freeway a few times and close off the on ramps and stop traffic completely just to let the convoy flow freely.

We stopped at 9 different fire stations, starting at the Santa Monica Airport and ending up about 1 1/2 from my office by the time we were done. Good thing I was in a patrol car cuz it helps when I cut through traffic. :)

I got a ton of pictures and some video. I couldn't really get any "perfect" video because I was either driving too fast, or directing traffic, so here's what you get......

An inside view of my job.........

Here I'm driving by the trucks on the freeway to get to the next on ramp to block it.....a perspective is the trucks are going 50MPH in the #2 lane and the fast lane stays open for us to pass safely.

And this is me blocking the on ramp........

The final stop at the Los Angeles County Fire Department. They served us free food and drinks and had some cool rigs sitting around!

On a side note.....here is a Jesse James Chopper that was broken down....he ran out of gas, then killed the battery trying to get the reserve fuel. I pushed him down the off ramp and he was able to bump start it, lol, by hand ofcourse...he wouldn't let me use the push bumper, haha.

Here is a Lambo that was speeding....before I got the video.....and my buddy and I pulled up on each side of him and kinda scared him, lol.

That's awesome! It has to be good to get a break from the daily grind and do something like this.

Nice shots... I like the one of the lambo. I take it you didn't stop him?

Jesse, you make everything you do fun, don't you?

Great pics! That must've been totally cool.

Ya...it was definitally fun to get a break! I grabbed my camera real quick to get a shot of that Lambo, I was actually heading to a call so we didn't stop him but I gave him the "White Door" treatment. :)

It's always nice to be on YOUR side!!

As opposed to the bad guys side?

J,where the fire at?

No fires here, lol.

Damn straight! Whats the point of living life if you don't make it fun!?

Speaking of making my job fun, I stopped by Rob Dyrdek's place. :) Had some drinks with Rob, Big, and Drama, and got to meet Meaty and Mini Horse, than Rob taught me how to do a kick flip! Naw, just kidding, but I found out he lives by me, and still at the same house as seen in Rob & Big on MTV.

haha rob's murdered out uav. rob and big are all done, the show is over, big has a kid and is getting married now. dude thats cool that you get to see all that. that old school cop wagon is sick, 59 belair wagon looks like. real cool some of the vids are cool too, but they wouldnt all work for me.

awesome stuff, Rob and Big is cool, I liked that show. DO they have a problem with you video taping "official" stuff? I'd hate for them to find it and you get into trouble over it. I always hated that leap frogging crap, it seems more dangerous than anything when they do it here. Anyway, looked like good times. And you do make everything seem fun, :D

Thanks guys, glad you enjoy what I post. I'm having a blast, and no I won't get in trouble, unless I start posting detailed pictures of the inside of our cars or something. :)

Here's some more video...stopped this guy for no plates, but he ended up having a temp sticker. 95 Viper, he bought it from Florida, it was salvaged due to the hurricane, lol. It was a POS.

My battery died about halfway through the stop. :(

Impounded this bike yesterday for a modified/mutilated VIN, the guy had/has NO proof of ownership and said he built it from scratch. He also said it was a Harley, yet the VIN doesn't start with an HD....sooooo ultimately, unless our VIN officer can find the appropriate VIN number, the tow company that got the impound will put a Lean Sale on the bike and after 30 days the bike will be theirs. Lucky them, lol.

the guy in the viper, did you tell him to go all the way around the block? It almost seemed like he was running, and too bad about that bike, what a shame for the owner.

I think it just looked like he was trying to find a quiet street for J's safety. No need for an officer to stand in a busy main road. It looks like you have a good time man.

I think we need a "What J did today" forum. lol

I love this stuff. :D

Haha, thats not a bad idea. :)

When I first lit him up I was hoping he'd go behind those cars to the right, but then I got on the PA and told him to make a right and pull to the curb. After he turned, he probably saw the empty street and figured it was a better place. That would have been sweet if he ran :) that POS probably would have broke down, haha. We get that a lot, people just keep driving until THEY think its a good spot.

Exactly, even though I stop people on the freeway. I'll have to get video of one of those stops so you can see the cars FLYING by. I do have a good time, this job is great.
