WTB: center tail light lens

I do hope you arent looking just the lens, as they do not come separate. They come as an assembly only and very few people have even tried to take them apart. May I ask why you want one?

Yes, it is a unit and not just the lens. If the neon light is out it is most likely the ballast and you can get an after market one and just replace it instead of the whole assembly.
 
You CAN NOT replace just the outside lens.....it is a ONE-PIECE unit. It is replaced as an assembly. OK...2 piece, the ballast and the rest of the assembly!
 
ok...but my ballast/light is good...my lens has a small break...so if i buy a unit with bad ballast can i use my ballast? what if the one i buy has a bad light?

nah ... the lense can be replaced alone. It takes skill and patience, but definitely doable.

I've got a clear crack free lenses, some with trim, some without. PM me if you're up for the task.

Yes, you can cut/splice your ballast into a unit that has a good light/bad ballast. If you buy one with a bad neon, you are in a worse fix that you are in now!

What I am saying is: you can NOT buy the lense by itself (not as a separate P/N). This should not be attemped by the unexperienced... can it do done..... MAYBE! Would I try it..... no way! Care to share the step-by step process, Jeremi?

There is no maybe no iffs, no buts. It comes apart like LEGO with medium setting on a heat gun, no cutting, no butchering. Pictures do not show for you Bud ? You cannot buy the complete assembly for that matter either, so it's a moot point about part numbers. One day when all these parts are gone people will start paying more attention to stuff. So many good parts being thrown out like trash. :eek:
