Quickest Lincolns of Distinction - DISCUSSION

Ok new stock engine record. I was gonna do something cool for it but other stuff going on right now. 11.266 Best mph 119.31(from other slip) This pass I came out super light just to get down track and not break axles again. I ran a WAY faster forced 1/8 mile run(rain) but not going to post that one.

How big was the nitrous shot? Same as before?

Thanks guys. Just letting you know that was a SLOW pass. The shot got upped by maybe 10HP. But tests I have seen show my old jetting in real world only gives 125 RWHP gain. I was trying to have my normal 150hp shot. Nothing crazy, All plugs look mint. Meaning they where there when I pulled them. LOL! I can tell just cracking them loose if they are ok or not. Also air was not good that day above sea level all day,

Ok On oct 2013 I got the stock engine power adder record. I have not been back to track in adder form since then. I got kicked out and they said don't come back till you have rollbar. So I kicked back and waited to be beat. Some people spent 20's of thousands trying and years to beat the $439 bomber. LOL I got news on Oct 8th that someone nipped me. Oct 9th me and wives anniversary can't work on car that day! lol. Now I have till Oct 30 to try and get this back, That's 21 days people. On oct 9th I pull car out of the woods give her a bath and start on the roll bar. I bent up hoop awhile ago so that was cool. I just had to make all other bars , Fishmouth and angle cut and mock up all tubes. Tig'ed that moly bar all in. Stong as ox now,

Wanted to be fair and took off the slicks and put on the DOT drag radials so no boo whoing. Also I got these for free and they are used and 6 years old!

Now in those 21 days there are only couple days to go to track, Out of those days it rained 75% of them. I was freaking and glued to weather reports. LOL Off to track This was last day pic as you can see pits are soaked. I'm standing in a puddle taking this pic!

They start racing at 6pm, I get on line at 6:05 drop the hammer and this happens,

Car won't move now have to get towed back, My buddy towed me back on trailer. My friend orders a sandwich and we hang out watching racing for hour. I think lets fix her, Boogie to my house get car on my lift knock out 2 axles and replace and back on trailer in 24 minutes. Back to track I go, They close at 10PM get there ar 9 and ready to race .Got in 6 runs and got my fastest time but not record, Better then nothing, All next track days heavy RAIN!!! All but LAST DAY, It rained for 2 days prior, Get to track they say track wet only 1/8 th mile passes till they say its dry, I was not going to run 1/8 because that will not give me record. Ok I will run it and get some run info. Car blasts off and runs super crazy fast 1/8 way way under record. Ok all I have to do now is get full pass in. 2 hours later and waiting on rain some truck slicks down whole right lane,Now i'm stuck in staging lanes! One hour shut down, Clean it up I get my one shot and walk car out to not break axles again and get the record back!!! YES.

So I would say that was the best $69 dollars in parts I ever spent!

Nice job Frank. Looks like I shall edit my youtube video title and signature here. You've taken back the trophy. 2017 is going to be fun. You've raised the bar. I don't think either one of us are quitting yet. I agree with Mike Schultz. We should have a stock bottom end category regardless of power adder. 10 years ago this was unheard of. I called bullcrap on your nitrous times until I accomplished it myself on 9psi. You live, you see, you learn, you do, then it becomes clear what these cars are capable of. I don't doubt you anymore.

You used to put my best ET with my best MPH on the list. I ran it so that's what I go by.
I was wondering if you could put my 119.31 mph with my 11.266 time?
I don't recall mixing and matching ET and MPH? :confused:

The "Quickest Lincolns of Distinction" implies that the ET from the track is the basis of determining who is the quickest. :)

Besides, you're so far ahead of everyone else...

Yeah. Give me a fast downhill track like Frank goes to. :laugh:

It would be close. I've examined his slips and his car has a 10mph window where it is faster and mine seems to be stronger all around otherwise, but that was this year and like I said, "11s were fun" I'm not going to the track next year to run 11s again.

LOL a 10 mph "window" I crushed your times huge, and when I say crushed I mean it. I'm just keeping that time in my pocket. lol Time for a victory burnout!

A fast 1/8 mile pass doesn't mean anything when you still have another half track to go. Just like your 119.8mph means nothing since you trapped that mph on a SLOW full track pass. Last I recall, we are after each other for quickest 1/4 mile pass. Did the rules change? Lol

Put your king pass 1/4 mile slip up against mine and look at the numbers. I actually take that back. Your 2mph lead at the 1/8th is really the only thing that saved you. Your car goes dead after that and traps slower than my car does with a completely unlocked converter.
