Hyundai has come a looooong way in the last few years. I know two people with newer Hyundais (an '02 Accent and an '03 Elantra) that they bought new, and they've had nothing but good luck with them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if all I wanted was cheap transportation.

Well, I don't have much to contribute except to say I like them, and that I one day hope to have a Mark V project car with a FMS 460 crate engine :) Just something about those big old sleds...

What they need to do, is restyle the Mustang, give it a 4v NA motor and IRS, tart up the interior a bit, and call it the Mark IX. My thoughts exactly. That would kick some ass. I think a 5.4L DOHC would be pretty sweet, but no way Ford has the balls for that.

Is it the fact that it's FWD that pisses everyone off? That's pretty much it for me. I have yet to drive a FWD car that drives as nice as a RWD or AWD. Same reason I think Acura is pretty "meh," even with that one car of theirs (the TL?) that has 270hp. An AWD Lincoln CAR with decent power...

Just when I thought Lincoln could not possibly underwhelm me any more. "...likely with all-wheel drive as an option..." The only saving grace. However, it will probably be teamed with a boring V6 engine and a slushbox tranny. Oh well, looks like it's another Mustang for me after the Mark.

Hope to see some more Marks in the show this year, I was all alone last year :) From the look of it on the website Marks are going into the same class as T-Birds/Cougars of similar years.

That's the best idea I've heard out of Ford in a long time. I like the idea of a Lincoln "Mustang," although I probably won't be able to afford it. Maybe the Mercury ... whatever I can get heated seats in LOL ;)

I've experienced the exact same problem. I replaced the IAC and TPS and thought I had the problem fixed, but it's done it again recently. Fortunately it only happens when it's very cold outside (below freezing) and when I'm parking in a parking lot (so I'm almost stopped anyway).
