    P1506 & Accufab Throttle Body

No issues with the oval one here either. Bummer. I'd question how it would pass a smoke test if it's pulling in enough air to trip a P1506.

Guys, what center section will fit lincoln mark viii?

That really depends on how you use the car, power produced, rev limit, and the tire you run. As I mentioned above, at my current power level (trapping @ 114 MPH), with a 28" slick and 7k rev limit, 4.56's would be a better suited gear than the 4.10's I currently run. I enjoy cruising down the...

Recommended Suspension Bushings for MN12's and FN10's

Thanks guys! There are a few different manufacturers, and a whole host of suppliers. They're packaged as Raybestos, Moog, Napa, and the like.

Recommended Suspension Bushings for MN12's and FN10's

Rear anti-sway bar mount bushings: Just as the front anti-sway bar mount bushings, there is significant room for improvement here. These bushings host all the same issues, along with an additional recurring problem when a larger rear anti-sway bar is added to the mix. When running a...

Recommended Suspension Bushings for MN12's and FN10's

I was approached to write up a tech article for SCCOA on the current bushing offerings for both the front and rear suspension systems. I thought I might post this here as well. Recommended suspension bushings for MN12’s and FN10’s Written by: Rod Maksimovich (Racecougar) Whether you...

Engine Masters and the Ford Modular 4V

Compare the cylinder length between the BBF and a M-54-A block. If you have $4k, you can pick up a 4.7" stroke Modular crank from Bryant, too.

Engine Masters and the Ford Modular 4V

Yes, but in this case, Kaase plainly said that these engines were completely new to him. Take a look at the threads over at Corral. All three Modulars in the competition this year used the 10.08" (5.4L) deck height blocks.

Engine Masters and the Ford Modular 4V

Kaase's engine ran a 4.7" stroke Sonny Bryant crank, coupled with a 3.72" bore. I believe Mihovetz ran a 3.72" bore as well with a little less stroke, but I'm not 100% certain. What really impressed me is that Modulars were new to Kaase as of this past January. It's been cool seeing him post...

    OBDII Tuning

Yep, a leak at the collector can certainly skew the O2 readings, even though the sensor is "ahead" of the leak. That said, it's common to see a little variation in the STFT's between banks, and the difference will typically remain constant.

Post a picture you took today.

The upper perch isn't angled. IIRC, the thicker side of the lower perch faces the centerline of the chassis.

Post a picture you took today.

You'll note that I corrected my post to exclude DLF's perches an hour and twenty minutes before you quoted me. The angle is not nearly as critical when using airbags as it is when using a coil spring. The angle is also dependent on ride height. The perches I've drawn up are based on a ride...

Post a picture you took today.

The isolators don't provide an angled base, they provide a helical slope for the end of the coil. Most of the lower perches out there (ThomasA's, Tuck's, mine, etc.) were machined with angled bases for a reason. ;)

The base of the lower perches should be angled as well.

How to get rid of drone?

Exhaust backpressure will always hinder performance on a 4-stroke ICE. However, bigger isn't always better in terms of exhaust tube sizing. When the size of the exhaust system more than exceeds the airflow requirements of the engine, exhaust velocity suffers and you start losing the benefits...

How to get rid of drone?

That's the same thing that 97MarkJA referred to above, and I referred to here: http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/forum/showthread.php?86488-sub-frame-bracing&p=2037249845&viewfull=1#post2037249845

How to get rid of drone?

That alone will make a noticeable improvement, IMO. My setup consists of the 1-3/4" Kooks into 3" downtubes, 3" Magnaflow cats, the 12468 muffler, expanding back out to 3" pipes after passing through the fuel tank area. I plan to redo the system in the future simply to improve appearance, but...
