    removing air injection?

I believe so. I had to have it 'tuned out' of my canned base tune for my '97 (both are OBD2 cars).

What to do with my 97 LSC

While you are at it, might as well switch to the braided stainless brake hoses too. It will help get rid of some of the original rubber hose swell and spongy feel. Then again, you could always just replace them with fresh rubber hoses as well. Either way, do a COMPLETE brake system fluid flush...

    Gen 2 Cordovan lights

On the last light housing you show a pic of; the thin silver trim ring will disappear once the lens is back on, but then there is still the matter of that area of the lens itself being frosted silver to hide the butyl rope seal. Honestly, I think Driller is correct in that 99.9% of those...

What to do with my 97 LSC

Are you wanting to keep stock wheels IF you upgrade the brakes? Reason I ask is that a lot of us guys upgrade/update to the Mustang Cobra brake set-up (which also changes your lug pattern from 5 x 4.25" to 5x 4.5"). However, it opens up HUGE brake possibilities and wheel choices by doing the...

    Gen 2 Cordovan lights

Tony, I like the treatment you have going here, and have my '97 headlights done in Black (to match my car color). I am not too sure how well you will like the remaining Silver 'ring' you have once you install the housings in the car, as it may look goofy with that Silver in a sea of Cordovan...

    Orlando chapter

I USED to live in Kissimmee/St.Cloud, but have moved to Ohio. There are some guys from LVC and LM8EC down there, with some nice rides. However, VERY FEW MKVIIIs owned by enthusiasts there.

Dashed out odometer and ABS light on after wreck.

Mine took a nasty hit, so I would say its internal eggs are scrambled. If just the plug is different, maybe I can de-pin/re-pin a '98 module to work (a friend has a parts-car '98 sitting and he said I could have the module).

Dashed out odometer and ABS light on after wreck.

Bill, if we weren't both dudes I would love you! That is what I was figuring (as I didn't mention the Distance Data Error) due to everything failing at once and being tied to the ABS. Time to cry as now I need to find a '97 unit (found a few on car-part, will contact the yards to see about...

Dashed out odometer and ABS light on after wreck.

Ok, long story short, my '97 Base took a header into a guardrail (on the drivers side nose) at 35mph roughly 3 years ago. car has been down from them on, while I searched for replacement panels. My question/question: After the accident, my ABS light stays on and my odometer is dashed out (plus...

    donut spare

Any 1994+ Mustang spare. Most Crown Vic 16" spares as well. If you are Cobra front brake swapped, you have to run either the 1994+ Cobra spare or the later CVPI 17" spare.

    1997 Base half-breed

I will likely install the C-heads and intake once the car is up in Ohio (getting ready to move now). The intake NEEDS to be ported, as they are restrictive in stock form. NASVT did a comparo with his ported intake to a stock intake on an otherwise stock Mach1....it gained a minimum of 10hp/10tq...

    1997 Base half-breed

LOOOOOOOOOONG overdue post. Car is still not being driven due to my laziness, hectic work schedule, working on everyone elses' stuff when not working, and overall life situations. 1) Bought, cleaned up, and sold a 96 Cobra intake 2) Found a sweet deal on some updated '03 Aviator heads ($75...

I spent 9 years working in Dayton and living in Huber Heights. My dads best friend has 3 sons, the oldest is married to a girl from Winchester! So, it really is a small world! :-)

    Rear Shocks

Personally, I would get a set of Jays upper mounts and those will open up a whole new world of replacement shocks to you. It allowed me to swap to Cobra Bilstiens.

96 Mark VIII ... front end conversion.

Car is going back together.....bent the front end up a little over a year ago. Since it was down, decided to 'upgrade' some aspects of the car. I'll have to update the Members rides thread I have going to reflect the mods! :-)

    Searching in Ohio

Alright, just wanted to make sure! There are NOT that many people in Sardinia, let alone people to be interested in MKVIIIs! I bought my 85 Coupe from him!

    New to the Site

Heads will have to be swapped, front plate swapped, knock sensors removed and bosses ground down............................................................ .......or for about $8K and some wiring you can go Coyote and have cake/eat it too.

96 Mark VIII ... front end conversion.

That member is me, I have the 97 with the 94 tail. You remembered correctly, Tixer! :-) Now, to answer the question; You will need everything forward of the windshield to make the swap. Radiator core support, framerails for the bumper, fenders, hood, steel bumper, bumper cover, headlights...

    Asham8 help please

Usually the height will start changing about 30-45 seconds after requesting the new height. As all you are doing is altering sensor signal and the computer has a set signal sample rate, it will only react once the sensor height sample has been read.
