So to be clear, due to the 3600 stall converter and the tune this currently isn't streetable? It would need something stock like a 1800 torque converter and a modified tune, right?
No, not at all.

This car is the epitome of a 'street' car; elegant, refined and very quick.

I quickly skimmed over the posting. Couple questions, has it been sold? What is the current asking price? I know someone who might be interested.

Thank you for your interest The specs are posted page 1 I believe. I am asking $10K for it. Garage kept, no rust, no hurricane damage, 62K miles. Title clear, etc.

Dear all, once again, with mixed emotions, Doug's Mark VIII has sold. Just loaded (the bitter) -- the sweet - a VERY nice couple who already has Lincolns and I know they'll love it. I think I even have them convinced to come to Carlisle next year and bring 2 of their Lincolns! With great thanks for all the support and advice from everyone. The Cobra still needs a home.......
Kindest regards, Donna

Sounds like it is going to a good home, good that you found a buyer who is into Lincolns.

Thank you for the update, Donna. I was just thinking about this earlier today, as a matter of fact. I'm glad the car has found a new home and I hope to see it again sometime.

May Doug's masterpiece live a long and prosperous life in the hands of people who appreciate and take care of the car. They have been truly blessed and will have many smiles per mile in that gem.

The Mark arrived in its new home last night. The couple was thrilled. I truly hope they bring it to Carlisle next year. Now I have to work on transferring all the photos documenting his handiwork.

That great to hear, I'm glad you got what you needed for it and sounds like it went to a good home where it will be taken care of. Hopefully we will see them on LOD or at least Carlisle like you said.

Donna thanks for keeping us updated. It must be difficult, but I'm sure for a lot of us, it's important that Doug's car lives on and we get to see it. So thank you. And please remember, once a part of this community, always a part. Don't feel too shy to stop in to say hello, or even meet us at Carlisle or any other event close to you.
