So what is the latest on this car? Seems like you have allot going on these days.
Yep, got little too busy with other "impromptu" projects ... now gotta catch up with other non-8 related stuff ;)
I should be ready to back to it soon though. Most parts needed are here already.

Hey Jeremi,
H'mm a new car in your signature .. Your busy as usual :D
Not for long ... already pending

bussy getting stuff down here, building a turbo cobra and selling motor and parts as usaul.
Good to hear you're busy too ;)

+1, it's a very cool Mark!

Hope Jeremi doesn't mind my posting these pics, but I paid him a visit today and we had lunch. He looked under my 97 LSC and I have an oil leak from the oil filter adapter gasket so it needs to be changed, and might as well do the oil pan gasket too!

I snapped these images with my Canon digital SLR - this is going to be one incredible 96 LSC with a strong engine and manual trans. Very clean in the engine bay and something nice hiding under the cover on the engine stand.

Hey Jeremi I've always wanted to ask you...

Do you use a remote oil adapter and remote filter or do you use the stock cobra 'snail'? If your use remote where do you mount the oil filter and adapter?

OCCUPY LoD :)
Not sure about this car but the one I have that he built has its oil filter relocated to inside the front bumper, in front of the drivers wheel.

Ummmm....not on my phone and I don't feel like taking the lower valance off again. :)

Nope, I don't mind, but your repair quote just doubled

I always relocated them. On a 2nd gen car I mount them where the AIR pump used to be, plenty of room, and easy access with the lower valance removed.

This 1st gen car has a 1 piece bumper cover, so putting it there would make the oil changes very difficult. I really liked the way Doug relocated the filter on his car, but with the 03 manifolds the exhaust gets really close to the block in that area. K-member being a bit lower doesn't help either. So I still need to figure out the actual placement once the engine and trans is back in the car (soon :))

Yah, that was the 1st one. I changed oil twice on that car ;)

i found this site randomly full of modular Ford bolts might help you out in the build.
Yep, that site is awesome, been there many times. You could go broke quick though ;) Cad works for me fine so far. Thanks just the same :)

I'll dig thru my photos, but it was nothing special. Just a trans-dapt unit mounted right to the frame rail, in front of ABS pump.

A pretty slick place to mount a remote filter on a Gen 2 would be where the stock HID ballasts were, if you "upgraded" to aftermarket HID's. There's a space in the bumper filler panel that's large enough to remove the filter without removing the panel.

Lol, the pictures sure do a lot better than mine. You should be my resident photographer.
I accept! Just e-mail, text, or call and say "get your sorry-ass up here", and I'll be there!

That 96 is patiently waiting for an awesome power plant and trans. Envy over here.

you can just build a bracket off the bottom of lower radiator suport and put it in the engine bay at the bottom where there is quick and easy access. the last time i installed one i put in next to the power steering tank.
