What do you mean all you guys? LOL He's a full half second ahead of the number 2 NA Mark8. He's well ahead of everyone else NA. Well, on the nitrous too.
No, I meant what I said. "all you guys". I have been watching over the course of the last year or so and saw a lot of people progressively getting better and better times as they dial in their cars. Mines been out of action for about a year and a half, closer to two years doing this and that when the time came available to work on it.

So yeah, I meant what I said. I've been watching. And yes there's more than him that are climbing. There are a lot of other boards im talking about to. Not just this one. So all you guys is anyone with a mark viii that's hopping it up and making gains. Even you would be included in that statement. Your car has gone up quite a bit since you first stated as well.

Also nitrous don't count for NA in my book even though I have used it on my old 78 Trans AM in past races. NA is pure motor. No giggle juice.

Mine has hit a brick wall. It gained a half second from before the intake swap and has now stopped going any faster.

I don't care what anyone says, I will speculate until the cows come home with Frank's car. Stock motor all the way down to the oil pan and running mid 12s is enough to make me seriously suspicious. If anything else, his car is annorexic as fook. No way no how on a full street trim Mark8.

At this point every time driller sees Frank update his NA time, he just let's out a sigh and reluctantly edits his time and doesn't even bother asking him much of any questions anymore because it has just gotten past the point of being ridiculous. If he ran a 12.5, psssh who cares at this point. Put him down for 11.5 NA No one with a Mark8 that has any sort of tangible mass to it is going to touch Frank's times. After the 12.81 time came out awhile back, it's just been like whatever. He ran faster again. Update the time again. LOL

When you do nothing to your car that's fine. I do things to my car all the time. You can't even weld or set up gears for cripes sake. I go to track and people see a clean stock looking mk8 go down the track. You just have to hate. Funny how when you run skinny tires, motorbike battery no AC cobra intake and such its OK. If I run open exh or trailor my car its NOT OK but if Driller does its OK. (nothing against Driller) If I take out my seats its NOT OK but if Don does its OK(nothing against Don). My main goal is to get 100% stock engine car to go as fast as it can. That's NO cobra intake, no injectors, no accufab TB, no Canton oil pan with windage tray.

That's ok though. I'll get to my cars when I can. I don't have as much time anymore like you because I was recently promoted at work and my job is more demanding than yours. Have fun. I don't have to believe you any more than I do a Jehova's witness that knocks at my door.

Not everyone just you. I have stock injs no 30lbs. So now your more of a working heman then me. BTW did you get someone to change your serpintine belt for you?

I know I don't need to go sticking my nose into this, but I am not known for being too bright. So here goes:

I have been reading up on this thread since I joined, and it has been quite enlightening and inspiring to see what can be done with a MKVIII. Now, as to this particular pissing match; nowhere did I see that an NA car had to be completely stock. If it has been lightened, so be it. If it is running a hogged-out 'stock' intake or Cobra unit, who cares? Does it have Comp Cams and HUGE injectors/port work? Is it a mega-stroker? If it is NA, it is NA. Is it fast? If so and it is still NA, does it really matter how it is done? Does it really matter if you can set up gears or weld? NO, as this is about the CARS' performance, not the owners mechanical prowess. I came from the Mustang world, where one of my associates took a Fox Hatch and got it to 10:30s stock-motor (the rest of the car was pretty well gutted). Then he sprayed the dog-snot out of it on its' way to low-9s. Guess what happened to the engine? Yeah, Ka-FING-Boom. Fact is he did it. That is all that matters, what was done within the confines of a loose definition. Both of you are a Butt-ton faster than I will ever be, and that is what I look at.

Some do all their own work and others write a check, some choose to add HP and others choose to shed weight, some will limit themselves by what they will spend and others choose to limit themselves by what they choose for modifications and some will choose to tell every detail while others choose to keep quiet.

I hear ya 100%. My main and ONLY goal was to see how fast I could get a stock engine to go. Why because I like to max things out and test and test and have fun. The air was great so I think car is pretty close to maxed out now. I have all those mods waiting(cobra intake , cams, oil pan and such) to go but why jump to all those and not max out the stock set up first? Once I do those things the car will be even faster. Now I have a baseline to beat.

I just want the quickest car I can afford to build myself. If I have to fab a part, I will try my best. If I need to buy a part, I will work to save up to buy it. My goal is a nice, quick, full-bodied street car I am not ashamed to get out of.

Everyone has a different way of achieving different goals (or sometimes the same goal). Shared information is good, but if it is a true competition then secrets are 'needed' as well. There are so many sides to the same story. I just want to be able to learn and to tell my own story some day. I know I am a nobody, but I appreciate what every one of you guys is doing/has done/will be doing and hope I can some day contribute worthy info as well. Just keep that in mind when things seem to be getting a little personal.................it really is all about the cars performance. (ok, my BS is over now. I return you to your regularly schedule programming already in progress :) )

I don't know if its legal here to mention other sites but if you want to see tons of build threads I have done on "Red dragon and Ice" check me on LVC. I show stuff like you would not believe. Also you would never ever hear one negative word from me unless provoked then I WILL reply.

^ True words... all of Franks mods have been posted.
I would be worth the time to find them all and book mark them all if N/A 1/4 mile is your goal.
He has broke the N/A 12 sec mark like a bull in a china shop.

Its not the first time Frank has been accused of not being fair "according to his own posts" because he goes out and kicks ass.
Once he was told he staged with his back tires..."too funny". Love you Don :p
I find Frank and his posts a valuable asset to the mark community.

I would love to see him put on the cobra intake and see if his car picks up.
I think it might not, it has always been thought that the gen1 intake is good part.
 
Please update my N/A time to 12.573 Frank Todaro. FYI this was done on all 4 street radials. No slicks. That run was for the one "special" person on here.

I did not think people here wanted to hear from me,so I keep it short. Fast rundown. I have local friendly battle with GTO boy. He runs on DR's,I got him N/A with slicks and felt bad and wanted to be even with him so I put BFG DR's on car for one more shot. Could not believe car 60 fted 1.672. I have HD vids coming soon when my buddy gives me disc. I can post if you like.
