It does have a trac loc.

I don't know about drag radials. Next year I will try some stock size tires though, these are 235's. Not sure if I'll see a difference.

I know most say with street tires it is best not to do much of a burnout, just enough to clean the tire, but with my '96 I find a good smokey burnout does help with the traction.

I tried a burnout once, my time was 1/100th slower.

I didn't get much smoke though.

Good and Bad

Got back from the track. I took both Marks. I first ran the Supercharged Gold 93 first and it spit and sputtered its way to a mid 12 run so I parked it for the day. Next was the stock Black 98 Mark and on its first run ran 14.72 and later a best of 14.59 WOW!. Trunk Monkey ran a new personal best beating mine. I think RobertP ran a new best also.

But It was good air last year also. Trunk Monkey added Trick Flow heads and Kooks headers and RobertP added Kooks and I can't remember what else. But they both did a lot of work for there gains this year. I would have also but I was running out of money due to being unemployed. Thanks to Bown38 there is a video of the Blk 98 Mark's first run. I guess the new trans is working pretty good, that's 0.4 sec faster than my previous best. Funny thing was every run was getting faster by about a tenth and thats back to back with no cool down.

A slower 1.574 then my first run of 1.552 so there is more then a 11.38 in her.
